DIY Sea Salt Spray for Beachy Waves Follow our tried-and-true recipe for an all-natural surf spray that will make your beach days complete. The sun on your face, the wind tangled in your hair, and the sand between your toes just got that much better! What You Need 8-10 oz spray bottle 1 cup luke warm water 1 teaspoon sea salt ½ teaspoon leave-in conditioner dab of unscented hair gel **optional: ½ tsp coconut oil or a few drops of essential oil - rose & lavender are faves. Combine all ingredients into the spray bottle and shake well for 1-2 minutes to ensure the salt dissolves. Voila! TIP: To get super “beachy” hair or for those with stick straight hair, apply this to damp or dry hair and braid. Leave braid until hair is completely dry or overnight if your hair is already dry. If you need hair dry immediately you can use a diffuser, but who wants to do that in 95 degree weather? Besides, braids are a very hot hair trend right now. When dry or next morning, take the braid out and spray one more time with head upside down, scrunching hair. SECRET TIP: “Dirty” hair - unwashed hair of 2 or more days - holds the wave incredibly better!
